The project delivers studies on topics like sustainability of Liberia’s commercial forestry, supports the development of the Legality Matrix but also prepares templates and Standard Operation Procedures that support standardised inspections.
Based on the Potential Commercial Production Forests identified with the “Baseline Report” (see below) this reports shows the timber volume on these areas and shows the development of forests over a rotation period of 25 years if forest business goes on as usual.
This report establishes a baseline to assess the long-term sustainability of commercial forest operations in Liberia.
